Banana Pool Table at London Design Festival 2014
So this is happening..
I'm having a go at the London Design Festival this year and will be exhibiting at the hospital club in Covent Garden.
This is a solo installation in a great setting (a bar) where all are welcome to come and have a go, see what all the fuss is about, and even enter the Banana Pool Tournament.
Prizes for the winning team so far include a year's supply of bananas and a Banana Mojito.
See the official LDF listing here: http://www.londondesignfestival.com/events/banana-pool-table-launch

Corner Ladder
Have spent the last few months making this, one of my favourite ideas from my book.
The ladder is made entirely from ash, an amazing wood to work with, incredibly flexible, and very strong.
I hope it's a piece that will bring a smile to a face or two.
Thanks to : Julian Forder for his expertise + workshop, and to Harry Scott for the images.

Twat Bag Selected for 2013 Threadneedle Prize
|
Twat Bag has been selected from over 3500 works to be exhibited at this year's Threadneedle Prize
Pretty self explanatory this one.
I came up with the idea ages ago and had to see it through as a finished 3D piece. It's taken quite a while to get it looking ship shape, and I'd like to thank the following for their help, advice, enthusiasm, and encouragement: Peter, Sarah & Jackie at The Identity Store http://theidentitystore.co.uk/ Nick Cliffe at www.artisans.co.uk Tracey Cole at www.allumandsidaway.co.uk The bag has been made by Georgie Tym www.handsoftym.wordpress.com It will be exhibited as part of this year's Threadneedle Prize exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London from 25th September - 12th October. Exhibition visitors can vote for the piece in the £10,000 Visitor's Choice Award http://www.threadneedleprize.com/page/3221/Vistors+Choice+Award+announcement

Banana Pool 2013 |
Work started in May 2012 with help from Julian Forder, an old family friend and retired carpenter with a fantastic workshop and a lot of patience!
I owe a great deal of thanks to Julian and also to Katie Morgan who lent her expertise with the wood graining. http://www.thedecorativepainter.co.uk/
